JJβs never okay. I donβt think heβs capable of recognizing or understanding the word as one that exists in the English language, let alone a state of being.
Trust me, no-one's more weirded out about it than I am. Every time he tries to say something nice about me, I see that one vein in his forehead throb like the thought doesn't entirely compute and he's not sure he can really comprehend the words about to come out of his mouth.
I'd find it hilarious if it didn't also make me feel slightly gross. Or like someone's walking over my grave.
...But that doesn't mean the two things are mutually exclusive. Your world is still weird.
[ so, turns out, it's still weird talking about and thinking about home. not awful, but weird. for sure. especially since she has a charm that can usually drop her into whatever world she wants to go to. it's surreal that all of it is cut off now, that one little slip-up shut her out. potentially for good. not that she's going around talking about her world with whoever will listen, but thinking about jameson trying to compliment peter eventually leads her to thinking about how long he's been here, away from- well, all of it. their cities are just left behind, without a spider-totem.
she knows there are more heroes in his world than hers, but still. thinking about a world without spider-man is almost as difficult as thinking about her world without a spider-woman. sorry, ghost-spider. same difference. ]
Hey, do you want to know how I came to the conclusion that I've been stuck here too long? Here's a hint, it wasn't when I started wondering whether or not I should really commit to the whole Castaway deal and ask Rastus for a ...netball? and grow out my beard.

well, one mouse.
i'm sure he's very cute but he's making these little tiny scratching noises that are driving me a little crazy.
[ good one. not a very obvious clear deflection of the topic at all. ]

and maybe i can train him to be my sidekick
if the bodega bandit can train a guinea pig, i can train a ghost mouse
