The energy signatures could give a clue as to how it might be able to be used to get home.
Or at the very least, hopefully get an idea of how to direct it somewhere else and allow for matter to travel away from here. If absolutely nothing else, it might tell me how we got here.
This is all with a disclaimer of 'assuming this is science', by the way.
Sure, but the portal's not likely to tell us anything about those unless you know a little more about these readings than you're telling me.
We don't know what they're weak against and we don't know what will stop them. If the World Eaters come here via the portal or similar, at best, it'll give us an idea of just that: how they travel. The ideal thing would be to find somewhere to lure the World Eaters to that's already dead and trap them there, but without knowing anything about the portal or the World Eaters, I can't even begin to guess at whether that's even approaching possible.
So for now, a working understanding of the portal's enough.
Pluto has access to them and you found out, or Pluto has access to them and now you do too and/or you've seen them?
[This is not in Bruce's nature. He's always been private, that much is true- but even when he's found the details and evidence he's after, he's notoriously tight-lipped with it. Even among the people he trusts most. He is not sure that he trusts Peter. But he does believe Peter is trust-worthy. The distinction is a small one, and Bruce finds that for the sake of deeper understanding, he needs to try and round that estimate up.
It is in no way easy.]
Pluto has access to them, and my own access to that is negotiable. She wants to know what I hope to get out of it. But I'm not experienced enough with the subject matter to trust my judgment.
There is enough evidence in place to suggest that the problem of the world eaters began with a portal. But I don't know if numbers on a page will mean anything significant to me without a background in the subject- and portals are a thing from fiction novels in my world.
A reset is performed when the world eaters get too close, suggesting that it rewinds their pathway and Beacon itself is in a kind of timeloop until it runs out of track. There is a definitive beginning and end.
All I'm saying is you're not giving me a whole lot to work with here. I can respect the fact that you're interested and that you want to figure out how to solve this puzzle, but beyond that, I don't know what you're hoping to get from any of the questions you intermittently message me with.
Maybe that works for you wherever you're from, I don't know. I've met a few guys who've taken a few pages from that playbook. But it is a little hard to work with when our survival depends on us working as a team.
I prefer to solicit opinions and perspectives from people who are- different from me. To vet my choices before I make them.
You don't give much to work with either, as it happens. If the method serves me and doesn't serve you, I've asked what can be done to adjust it. You haven't provided an answer I can modify for.
It's give and take, right? This is the second time you've asked me about portals and this is the first time you've shared anything about what you're actually doing. I get it, you're not a share with the class kind of guy. I also know the wrong information in the wrong hands can have disastrous results, but coveting that information and only sharing it with people you consider worthy or on a need-to-know-basis or even a "they can help me" basis is the start of walking a dangerous line.
So, say you find out something that could help us: is that something you're planning on sharing?

Anyway: you planning on using my answer with Pluto to see where that gets you, or are you planning on admitting to her youβre not really sure?
